That’s me!

My name is Abi, I’m a 24 year old reader, writer, and aspiring author based in Brisbane, Australia. I moved here back in 2017 with my family – my parents, my siblings, and our silly puppy Max.
The dream to move to Australia came to fruition after a holiday in 2015, and we’ve loved every second we’ve been here since.

My Reading Journey:

I’ve been a reader for as long as I can remember. It was the little thing I found extreme comfort in, and having the ability to escape to different fictional worlds as a kid was something I absolutely revelled in.

The first book I distinctly remember reading was Inkheart, by Cornelia Funke back in something like 2008/2009. As an eight or nine year old, that was a huge book for little Abi to read! But, I devoured it and ate it up like it was nobody’s business, and there began the love for the smell of a fresh book and disappearing between the pages.

The Goal:

Ultimately, my goal is to share my love of reading and disappearing to foreign fictional worlds, and share my best finds with you. Even if no one reads this blog, at least I’ll have documentation of all my favourite reads.

I would also love to be able to enhance my reviewing skills when it comes to my favourite reads, or even when I’m reading the likes of Advanced Copies through the wonderful folks over at NetGalley.

What To Expect:

This website will be full to the brim of my favourite reads, reviews, new finds, book hauls, and hopefully some guest posts from my fellow readers, and I hope to also connect with upcoming authors too.
